Postcards featuring pictures from a northern settlement in Alberta that became the site of Canada’s largest mass evacuation of people. The 4 year anniversary is this May 2020. Fort McMurray became engulfed in a hellfire and continues to recover from the traumatic event. Fort McMurray is located in the boreal forest, a forest that crosses 3 continents. As the planets giant green lung warms the number of fires and area burned is increasing, twice as much in the past 20 years (Flannigan) as a result of human activity, and is at risk of total collapse.
